Tribute

From David Benight on January 27th, 2013
She was exemplary; deserving of imitation because of excellence. She diligently worked and studied hard to achieve a high level of success. #3 at GW, Colorado College on a Boettcher Scholarship, French/Italian/ Spanish Romance Language Major, studied in Menton, France and she was a leader. She yelled as loud as anyone at CC hockey games, loved to pull pranks, many friends, had fun, loved art, traveled extensively and married a great guy. She passed away at the hands of a drunk driver in Hawaii way too young. She is missed.

From Pam (Davis) Rutherford on June 15th, 2013
One of the smartest but most down-to-earth people I've ever known.  She brought a lot of joy to my life for many, many years.  I too miss her to this day.

George loved planning and going to GW reunions.  He was such a wonderful, caring and gentle soul and he was a great friend.  We all miss him so much.  Aug 10th won't be the same without him.

From Marty Morris on July 22nd, 2013
George was one of my closest friends from high school and as a college roommate.  No matter how long we hadn't seen each other or talked we always instantly connected.  He helped plan the 30th reunion and convinced me to go which I was very grateful for.  I've never known anyone who never would say a negative word about anyone else or would never lose his temper or get angry with you the way George did.  He was very unique and I miss him all the time.

From Tina Jonas Johns on July 23rd, 2013
George was a 'kindred old spirit' in H.S.!  He was compassionate and highly knowledgeable about everything!  I truly miss sharing wisdom of the Old Testament and it's application to our Laws and Language today... We had many discussions about God, the Old Covenant and the New... He was a blessing always beyond his years and time.... A good friend!  Our 40th will NOT be the same without George!

Nancy was a goof-ball!  She made us laugh and challenged us to greater things.  I, for one, went on to climb many mountains after she passed while doing just that.  She was a risk-taker and go-getter who had a zest for life taken from us to soon....

Walter sat right behind  mein Concert Choir several times.  He was both hilarious and compassionate.  We shared all the laughter and frustration of just being in H.S. during a difficult time.  Walter had amazing 'tall' wisdom for such a short and challanged stature!  For those who knew him, he was a treasured friend.
